Why We’re Gathering for YL60

For 60 years, Central Illinois Young Life has been built on relationships—leaders showing up, kids saying “yes” to Jesus, and communities faithfully supporting the mission. This celebration is more than a look back. It’s a moment to gather the people who made Young Life what it is and honor the God who made it all possible.

1

To Remember

We want to tell the story—your story.
From first clubs in small towns to packed buses heading to camp, from living rooms full of campaigners to quiet moments of prayer, Young Life in Central Illinois has always been about pursuing kids with the love of Christ. We’ll look back and give thanks for all God has done through the people who said “yes” along the way.

Our vision for this night is threefold:

2

To Reconnect

This ministry was built on relationships.
This night is a space to reconnect with friends, fellow leaders, committee members, and mentors—those who stood beside you on the front lines of faith and fun. Whether you were part of Young Life in the 1970s or just stepped away last year, this night is for you.

3

To Celebrate What’s Still to Come

God’s story is still unfolding.
We believe the best is yet to come for Young Life in Central Illinois. As we gather to celebrate the past, we also look ahead—with gratitude, hope, and renewed commitment to reach the next generation with the Gospel.

You’re part of this story. You belong in the room.

Whether you were a kid who found Jesus at camp, a volunteer leader, a generous donor, or a committee member faithfully praying and planning behind the scenes—this night is for you.

Join us as we celebrate 60 years of God’s faithfulness and look ahead to what He will continue to do.

We can’t wait to welcome you.
